Columbia County Administration Complex

Columbia County’s largest-ever building project, constructed in the City of Portage, totaling almost 99,400 square feet, created much needed space for County departments.

The site, which straddles the historic Portage Canal which once served as a major thoroughfare for goods and travelers, now is home to two brand new buildings which house the Department of Health and Human Services and the County’s non-court related administrative services.  In addition to the two buildings, the site also included several parking areas, a pedestrian bridge across the Portage Canal and landscaping.
