City of Portage, 2010
The City of Portage was in need of upgrades to their 1980’s vintage Wastewater Treatment Plant and turned to General Engineering Company for assistance. Being budget conscious, GEC developed the project in a 2-phase approach with the first phase renovating the anaerobic digester and aerated grit chamber. The second phase included complete renovation of the RBC biological process. All 16 Rotating Biological Contactors were replaced along with new supplemental aeration. An existing energy inefficient building was also replaced with individual RBC covers.
