WISCONSIN DELLS, WI – On November 14, 2016, restaurateur, Bill Trevorrow, and numerous supporters broke ground at the site that will be home to the new HuHot Mongolian Grill in Wisconsin Dells. General Engineering Company is proud to work on this project. GEC has provided site design, stormwater management, erosion control and general permitting services for this project.

In efforts to create much needed space for the Portage Water Utility department, several business and city representatives gathered to break ground for a new facility yesterday.  Located on the corner of Northridge Drive and Village Road, this new 10,000 square foot facility will provide maintenance space, equipment storage and office space for the department.  Construction is to start week of July 18th and completion is expected to be mid to late December.

GEC is providing Building Design and Site Design services.

Associated Builders and Contractors, Inc. (ABC) Wisconsin Chapter recently held their 2015 ABC of Wisconsin Projects of Distinction Awards program at the Wilderness Resort in Wisconsin Dells. Among the night’s award winners, was Woodside Sports Complex in Wisconsin Dells, winning a Gold Award for Site Work.

The expansive Woodside Sports Complex development, consisting of 8 soccer fields and 4 baseball fields was designed by Brad Boettcher P.E. of General Engineering Company and constructed by general contractor, Friede and Associates.

ABC Distinction Awards are aimed at recognizing projects that set themselves apart from other similar projects and elevate the awareness of the quality construction performed by ABC member firms and their employees.

All winning projects are judged in areas of overall distinctiveness, execution of design, craftsmanship, coordination, budgeting, safety, difficulty and unusual challenges.

TOWN OF ONALASKA, WI – After working with the Town of Onalaska for several years on various zoning issues, the Town requested further assistance from General Engineering Company (GEC) regarding several small bridges that needed inspecting.
