PORTAGE, WI - Jerry Foellmi, President of General Engineering Company, was honored by the Portage Service Club Association. Jerry Foellmi Receives Recognition Plaque from PSCA"It was a fun ride. We enjoyed working with a diverse group of citizens, which had a single focused vision, overcoming challenges and seeing the project through completion for the City." -Jerry Foellmi, GEC President

While many Portage area groups and volunteers were instrumental in getting this project completed, Jerry and General Engineering Company were invaluable in the development, planning and coordination of the construction aspect of the Splash Pad and the vision of the Portage Service Club.

Originally becoming involved in the project as part of GEC's 100 year anniversary as a way to give back to the Portage community, Foellmi reflected on the project saying, "It was a fun ride. We enjoyed working with a diverse group of citizens, which had a single focus vision, overcoming challenges and seeing the project through completion for the City."

Opened in 2013 and centrally located in Goodyear Park, the Portage Splash Pad is designed for young children and families to enjoy. In addition to the water features, colorful benches and shade structures have recently been added for visitor's enjoyment.
