GEC is pleased to announce the growing of our team with the addition of Environmental Project Manager Beth Erdman, Staff Engineer Tom Fahl and Architectural Intern Sarah Hoffman. We want to welcome our new staff members.
Beth Erdman joins GEC’s Environmental Department with a wealth of experience working in the public sector for the last 15 years, primarily with environmental cleanups. Beth has a Bachelor of Science degree in Environmental Sciences with an emphasis in Geology and Hydrogeology. Originally looking for a career in the teaching field, Beth changed career directions after taking an Environmental Geology class.
Beth will be primarily located in and serving the Fox Valley Area. “I’m very excited to be a part of this department’s growth to new areas of the State.” says Erdman. “The uniqueness of the combined experience and past working relationship with members of this department will provide our clients a level of expertise that is second to none.”
Ms. Erdman will be providing a wide range of Environmental Services but primarily in areas of Phase I and Phase II Site Assessments, Site Investigations, Property Transactions, Storage Tank Services and PECFA Administration.
Beth lives in the Oshkosh, WI area and enjoys spending time mostly outdoors with friends, family and her two dogs Dixie and Georgia.
Tom Fahl joins GEC as a graduate from UW Platteville with a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering with an emphasis in Municipal and Transportation. His interest in Engineering came from randomly choosing Civil Engineering for a high school paper. The more he learned about the field, the more he fell in love with the idea of turning it into a career.
Tom shared, “I’m looking forward to the challenges GEC will provide me with outside the box thinking and providing the best product for our clients”. Tom will be applying his skills to several avenues of engineering but primarily within the municipal services.
Tom currently resides in Baraboo, WI, plays almost any sport and is looking forward to try skydiving….again.
Sarah Hoffman is the newest addition to our Building Design Team as an Architectural Intern. Sarah graduated with an Architectural Degree from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee with a minor in Structural Engineering. An interest in interior design turned into an Architectural passion for Sarah before High School.
Sarah felt a draw to GEC from first learning of an opportunity within the Building Design Services Department. “GEC stood out to me not only because of their proximity to my hometown, but because of the services we offer so closely aligned to both my major and minor degrees.” Hoffman said.
Sarah enjoys anything that has to do with her being outside, spending time with family and resides in DeForest, WI.
