Village of Pardeeville, 2011

In 2008, after experiencing historic flooding, the Village of Pardeeville’s Park Lake area had lake levels so high that flood waters overtopped the narrow area of Hwy. 22 near the Village’s hydroelectric plant and other area infrastructures. GEC partnered with the Village to create a separate overflow flood system to mitigate this issue in the future. At the same time, GEC also provided services on needed repairs to the Village’s main dam. GEC also coordinated and administered much needed grant funds for these necessary projects.
