The inspection process involves contacting the responsible inspector for the area preferably 48 hours in advance of the inspection. The inspection times for most communities can be set for A.M. or P.M and varies in length depending on the particular inspection. Multiple inspections can be ordered at one time. In order for the inspection process to be valid work must be left uncovered. Charges may be accessed for re-inspection so it is important that the work be complete and if the contractor is uncertain as to compliance – call the inspector.
Inspection notice. The applicant or an authorized representative shall, in writing or orally, request inspections of the department or the municipality administering and enforcing this code. The department, or the municipality administering and enforcing this code, shall perform the requested inspection within 2 business days after notification, except the final inspection.
