Since the founding of General Engineering Company in 1912, we continue to be dedicated to the best interests of our clients and serving their needs. Over the years, there have been some changes in the needs of our clients, but overall, the principals and values that we operate by help us achieve excellence in our professional endeavors. We have maintained a strong set of core values that we call our corporate philosophy that defines who we are, what we do and how we do it.

Employees. We have a talented group of professionals on our employement team. Our employees include professional engineers, staff engineers, technicians, environmental professionals, land surveyors, building inspectors and administrative staff.
Integrity. The employees at GEC are honest and ethical in their actions. We keep our commitments and treat others with mutual respect and trust. We hold ourselves to high standards of honesty and integrity both inside and outside of work.
Service. GEC sets the industry standard for client service. We are passionate about meeting our clients' needs and solving problems whenever we can. We are noted for treating our clients with the utmost respect and handling their matters expeditiously. Our building inspectors are distinguished in their day-to-day handling of owners, contractors and municipal officials.
Standards. Projects completed at GEC meet or exceed the industry standard. We are commonly "going the extra mile" to achieve your goals and meet our standards of both product and service.

Knowledge. Like many other firms, we are experienced in all aspects of civil and municipal engineering. Our building inspectors are certified in many areas of residential and commercial building inspection.
Communication. Perhaps the most valuable attribute of staff at GEC is the ability to effectively communicate our knowledge and experience to the client. Our philosophy is built on client achievement, and therefore it is our responsibility to effectively communicate the goals of the client.

Diversity. Unlike many other firms, our office includes engineers, environmental project managers, registered land surveyors and residential/commercial building inspectors, among others. This provides the client with a wide range of knowledge accessible through our services.
