PORTAGE, WI– General Engineering Company (GEC) employee, Chris Krinke recently received his Bachelors of Science Degree in Technology Management with a minor in Drafting and Design Technology, earning Magna Cum Laude honors at Herzing University.
Chris has been employed with General Engineering Company for over 2 1/2 years and was previously President of Mid-Wisconsin Home Builders Association (MWHBA) for three terms. At GEC, Chris provides construction expertise in design conception through construction on projects ranging from residential developments to manufacturing facilities.
In addition to construction and design projects, Chris also performs Federal Housing Administration (FHA) Inspections and Property Maintenance Inspections. Through attaining his degree, Chris has been able to utilize complex drafting programs on several multifaceted projects and is able to successfully deliver new visions to clients.
For the past 18 years, Chris has been actively involved with Habitat for Humanity, volunteering his craftsmanship skills and time on dozens of projects throughout Columbia County and Sauk County. In 2011, Chris was a large part of the GEC team that constructed a new boardwalk, which includes a fire pit and is wheelchair accessible for campers and visitors at Camp Wawbeek (Easter Seals Wisconsin) in Wisconsin Dells. “It was a project that had been dreamt about for almost 20 years,” says Ken Saville, Vice President of Easter Seals Wisconsin.
During his spare time, Chris enjoys spending time with his children and grandchildren at his home in Madison.
