PORTAGE, WI – A ribbon cutting ceremony took place on Monday, November 28th in honor of General Engineering Company’s (GEC) new logo debut for the company’s upcoming 100 year anniversary.

On Monday, November 28 at 10:00 a.m., members of the Portage Chamber of Commerce, city representatives, and GEC leadership gathered for the official ribbon cutting ceremony of GEC’s new sign. The sign, which was provided by Mayor Ken Jahn and Two Rivers Signs & Designs, displays General Engineering Company’s new logo in recognition of its approaching milestone.

Marianne Hanson, Executive Director of the Portage Area Chamber of Commerce, said “It was great to be part of the new unveil of the logo and sign for General Engineering Company as it celebrates 100 years in 2012. GEC has definitely put its roots here in the Portage community, supporting the needs of the businesses and enabling their employees to get involved.”
